YAY! Big girl Alaina is now 1 year old!! Her birthday wasn't super crazy because we are having an out of control strawberry party this upcoming weekend but Ms. Eryn, Kenna and Maegan came over to have dinner and dessert with us. Alaina had a yummy birthday dinner of salisbury steak and mashed potatoes (which she LOVED and gobbled up every last bite she could fit into her mouth) and then dessert was brown sugar blondies with valentine's day colored M&M's. We sang "Happy Birthday" to Alaina and Mommy helped her blow out her candle. She really liked her birthday dessert too and ate most of it before Mommy said she had had enough sugar for one night and took the rest away.
Let's see, she now waves and can say "hi" and "bye" (when she wants to) and loves to babble away but isn't saying a whole lot of other words yet. She is cruising like crazy but not quite ready to walk. She loves to feed herself and Mommy said we are almost done with baby food because she fights it so much.
